Great set up for social distancing, but does not require a car. Nice selection of extremely fresh produce and knowledgeable vendors.

Beautiful vegetables & a great cause. If you are just looking to grab some local fresh produce at a reasonable price then I highly recommend this farmers' market.

Cozy little farmers market in the Drake neighborhood of Des Moines. In the parking lot of the county health building, 1907 Carpenter (at MLK parkway). Emphasis is on immigrant farmers who grow their produce in the Des Moines area and then sell at the farmers market. All the usual vegetables, plus African and Asian specialty produce items. Saturday mornings. 9 am to 12:30 pm.
